Accessibility

Neighborhood

The Robert Price house is located on Gale street on the north east area of historic Edenton, walking distance to all that historic Edenton has to offer.

Guest Access

You'll have full access to the main house, cottage, front and back yards during your stay. The entire property will be your home away from home. The back yard is fully fenced, great for dog-friendly travel! The only camera on site is the Ring doorbell next to the front door and is only reviewed in case of an issue.

Good to know

At Historic Edenton Stay, you'll find the main house is a classic side hall layout with living (with smart TV), library/game room with record player and a vinyl collection, kitchen, dining room, and half bath on the first floor. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the second floor. The spacious outdoor deck with seating area and outdoor dining area, connects what we affectionately call the "cottage" to the main house. The cottage is a cool space with an additional two double beds, comfy seating area, smart TV, and full bathroom. The cottage has its own heating and cooling system. The two spaces together make for a great extended family stay where some separation is appreciated some of the time. The cottage is also a great place for people with mobility limitations to stay with only one step up onto the deck to the cottage door. I employ a professional cleaner and I share the cost of the cleaning with you to provide them a living wage and provide you a thorough cleaning between guests. If you are bringing a dog or two, please remember to include them when you're filling in your guest details at the time of booking so that the $99 pet fee (per stay for up to two dogs) is incorporated. No weight limit!

The house has been returned to the look and feel Robert Price created when he built it. The gingerbread roof and hip-roof porch once again face the road. When workers took the modern siding off the building, they found the original wooden siding — damaged, but largely intact. During renovations, workers found family portraits behind the mantle in the living room. That and a bottle of whiskey imported from Canada with an Old Crow label on it—almost certainly bootleg whiskey from Prohibition. Price, according to the 2007 National Register of Historic Places report, was the son of “a free black carpenter named Joseph Price (who) purchased a lot where his son, Robert Price, also a carpenter, would build himself a residence, ca. 1886.” Price was one of 17 Black carpenters listed in the 1880 census in Edenton. I am thrilled to keep the history of this home alive and welcome visitors to Edenton to tour the historical town, shop it's many local retail stores, and enjoy good food with good people. Your support enables us to continually maintain the historic details of the home. Welcome!

What a beautiful home: beautiful, historic and yet full of modern comfort and tasteful design. Nicole is a top 1% host in our opinion, and we stay at a lot of AirBnBs. The location is so walkable to Edenton’s lovely downtown and waterfront. There are new historic renovation projects nearby, you can see history being reborn. The home has the comfort and amenities of a four star hotel: baths, linens, gourmet kitchen, sectional and bed comfort. Nicole has thought of truly everything you need for your stay. The bright and plentiful windows welcome the gentle morning light, or the elegant shades let you sleep in if you prefer. The large deck and large fully fenced yard for our small dogs added to our experience. I highly recommend Nicole’s home for your stay!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most wonderful stay at this historic Edenton Airbnb. The home is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, blending historic charm with comfort. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every space felt welcoming and well cared for. One of the best features was the cottage outside! It was perfect for our friends and gave everyone their own space while still feeling cozy and connected. Edenton itself is such a gem! The trolley tour is an absolute must if you want to learn about the town’s history, and we had an amazing dinner at The Herringbone (amazing sunsets, mussels & martini's) Also, very easy walk to town for shopping! Everyone in our group (including our pet mini holland lop Mr. Potter 🐰) loved our weekend in the Inner Banks. Thanks again Nicole, your home is beautiful. We can’t wait to come back!

I stayed at the Nicole's with my parents and godparents for a weekend away. It was our first time to Edenton and the fantastic location, a short walk from downtown, offered lots of flexibility for our group! Nicole was incredibly responsive when I had a few questions upon arrival and throughout our stay. The home is beautifully maintained/decorated and we were thrilled to make the connection that the house had been featured in "Our State" magazine a few years back! Overall, we loved the town of Edenton and Nicole's home offered a comfortable and warm space for our weekend away! Would definitely recommend!

Great accommodations and the host Nicole was very responsive to our needs. Our boys loved the cottage outback and the fenced in backyard was very much enjoyed by our small dogs! Will be returning and highly recommend this rental.

This beautiful, historic home in lovely downtown Edenton is a true gem! Spotless clean, very comfortable beds, high end linens in the bedroom and bath. Huge home for family get togethers, including the cutest, coziest cottage in the back! Fenced in backyard for our little corgi! Well stocked kitchen with a great dining space and a library/den for fun nights playing card games! The sectional couch was so comfortable we could hardly get up! The backyard/ deck/twinkle lights/ & corn hole were loads of fun and relaxation! The price for six guests was super reasonable compared to the expensive local inns we had previously stayed in!! Five minute walk to everything fun in downtown Edenton and we will miss the beautiful water and lighthouse! Our host Nicole was a SUPER HOST! She went above and beyond to welcome our family and made sure we had everything we needed. She was ALWAYS available. Thank you for early check-in! The neighborhood is extremely quiet! Edenton is a special place! ❤️

The house was just lovely and the renovations stayed true to the age of the home. Clean, no clutter, tastefully decorated and so very comfortable. The front porch and cottage were perfect for our two couples. Could easily accommodate 3 couples. Edenton was charming and we will be going back.
